In sport psychology and mental preparation, there’s a big difference between thinking you are going to win and knowing you are going to win.
What differentiates the top elite of athlete for others is that they start training in a way they know the CANNOT lose. I’ve written about it before: when you trust your preparation itls like a never ending line that peaks with your final performance.
SO? HOW DO YOU DO THAT?
The first step is to understand how and in which way you CAN lose.
Are you gassing out quickly?
Does your guard retention has a weak side?
Do you get stuck and swept from a specific guard?
Once you know your holes and can correct them you leave no chance for you opponent to take advantage of them, and by no means to score on you.
YOU EARN YOUR TROPHIES IN PRACTICE, YOU PICK THEM UP AT THE COMPETITIONS.
Let me know, what’s your favorite thing to work on?
